NIHR, UN Activities in Bahrain discuss cooperation

Manama, Sept. 12 (BNA): National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Chairman Ali Ahmed Al Durazi and Acting Resident Coordinator of United Nations Activities in Bahrain Mohammed Al Zarqani have discussed issues of common interest. The meeting also reviewed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination regarding technical projects and training programs related to human rights. Al Durazi stressed the NIHR's keenness on cooperating with the United Nations and its agencies to assist the institution achieve its goals and competencies. Al Zarqani lauded the NIHR's efforts in promoting and protecting human rights in Bahrain and expressed readiness to provide technical support and UN expertise to the institution.
