Northern Governor follows up on field surveys to ease workers' accommodation density

Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): In line with the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to work out a mechanism to ease the density of the expatriate workforce in their accommodation places, as part of the national efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Northern Governor Ali bin Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor, alongside members of the joint committee and representatives from the Bangladeshi embassy, followed up on field survey operations carried out by the governorate in cooperation with the Northern Governorate Police Directorate. The Northern Governor praised the efforts of the community service police to spread awareness among the expatriate community, pointing out that the aim of the field survey is to get informed about the workers’ housing conditions in order to provide appropriate solutions, in line with the Interior Minister’s directives and the principle of social distancing.
