Northern Thai students win world class competition
LAMPANG, May 24 (TNA) - Two northern Thai high school students have won third prizes at the Young Scientist Competition (YSC), held in the United States last week.
The two winners, Pattapon Chai-saen-wang and Witchaya Sitthirak from the Bunwat Wittayalai School in Thailand's northern Lampang Province, along with their counseling teacher, made a courtesy call on Lampang Governor Tawatchai Terdpaothai on Saturday (May 18).
The provincial governor, meanwhile, praised the two students for bringing reputation to their motherland and their hometown and urged other students to look up to them as role models.
Both high school students participated in the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering and Environment) Project Olympiad (I-SWEEP 2013), under the project of YSC, and won the bronze medals for the Magic of Leonardite: The Absorbent Agent to Clean Wastewater.
The world-class competition was held from May 8-13 in Houston, the US Texas State. (TNA)
