NSSA Chief hails UAE space science achievement

Manama, Feb.9 (BNA): National Space Science Authority (NSSA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri hailed the success of the UAE Hope Probe in reaching its Mars orbit. Dr. Al Aseeri said that the landmark UAE space science stride reflects the great potential of the GCC countries to keep pace with development countries across all fields and attain excellence with merit. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he described the Hope Probe achievement as a source of pride for all Gulf nationals, Arabs and Muslims. He paid tribute to the UAE leaders for their keenness on the landmark space science project, citing the recent message of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Dr. Al Aseeri said that the landmark project sets the future stage in which, the UAE will witness a new start towards a brighter, developed and prosperous future, reflecting the interest of its wise leadership in building people and enabling generations to master future sciences “The arrival of the probe of hope to the planet Mars coincides with the 50th anniversary of the declaration of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates”, he said. He described the UAE Emirates Mars Mission (EMM), as a source of hope in our Arab and Islamic nation that the impossible does not exist in our lexicon. “We are able, with persistence and determination, to keep pace with developed countries in all fields and attain excellence with all merit”, he concluded.
