Number of Syrians taking refuge in Turkey reaches 2,792
YAYLADAGI (A.A) - The number of Syrian nationals who took refuge in Turkey due to the recent incidents in Syria has reached 2,792 as of Friday morning.
Sources told the AA that the Syrians who had arrived in Turkey had been placed in a tent city in Yayladagi town of the southern province of Hatay.
Around 100 Syrians are receiving treatment in several Turkish hospitals in the region.
Turkey's Red Crescent Aid Society is working to erect a third tent city in Boynuyogun village of Altinozu town for 5,000 people.
The Health Department of Hatay province has established dispensary at two tent cities in Yayladagi and Altinozu towns for the Syrians.
