OFDPM marks Bahrain Women’s Day

Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): The Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) hosted a gathering to mark Bahrain Women’s Day, at Gudaibiya Palace. The Director General of the OFDPM, H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, commended Bahrain’s pledge to continue supporting women’s advancement, in line with HM the King’s aspirations. H.E. Shaikh Salman also highlighted the efforts of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, that continues to advance women’s participation in all facets of society. The theme for Bahrain Women’s Day 2018 is 'women in legislative and municipal fields', coinciding with the Kingdom's fifth parliament and municipal elections.
