Oil Minister lauds Edict 10/2019

Manama, June 3 (BNA): Minister of Oil, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, praised Edict 10 of 2019 issued by HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on allowing foreign oil and natural gas drilling companies to establish and own a commercial register in oil and natural gas drilling activities in the kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister highlighted that under the Edict the same companies would have the capacity to enter into contracts with the government of Bahrain in accordance with the constitution and law. He added that the Edict aims to facilitate the procedures of the international oil companies contracted and to enable them to implement their obligations under the law and constitution without compromising the state’s ownership rights over natural resources.
