Oman Shura Council Chairman visits Bahrain National Museum

Manama, June 1 (BNA): Director General of Culture and Arts at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Omani Consultative Assembly Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, at the Bahrain National Museum. The chairman was briefed on the museum’s activity and its facilities that include artifacts and archaeological finds that reflect the ancient history of the Kingdom and tell the story of its civilizations since the Dilmun civilization more than 4,000 years ago, through Tylos and the Islamic period until the modern era. The chairman and his delegation also visited the Burial Hall dedicated to the archaeological site of the Dilmun Burial Mounds that is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
