Omani Ambassador hails relations with Bahrain

Manama, Nov.19 (BNA): Omani Ambassador to Manama Abdulla bin Rashid bin Ali Al-Medelwi hailed strong historic and fraternal relations binding his country with the Kingdom of Bahrain since the Majan and Delmon civilisations. In a statement marking Oman’s Renaissance Day, he said that bilateral relations developed and gained momentum since the era of late HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said. He underlined the current strides achieved by both countries, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. The ambassador underscored the desire of both brotherly countries to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand joint cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields. He stressed the important role of the meetings held by the joint committee in bolstering joint cooperation and ushering in more opportunities, noting the agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programmes which were signed in the past years. “The Sultanate of Oman is celebrating the 50th Renaissance, after concluding five successful decades marked by development achievements, led by late HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said”, he said, adding that his successor HM Sultan Haitham bin is continuing the march of development and progress. The Ambassador said that the Sultanate of Oman is gearing up to launching the 2040 Oman Vision, which was ordered by late HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said, assigning HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq then to chair its main steering committee.
