One man and two children alive from the debris

VAN - Zafer Sel - Civil Defense teams pulled one man and two children alive from the debris of a collapsed building in Ercis town of Van on Monday.
Erkan Gurbuz as well as a three and a five year old children were taken to hospital. Earlier in the day, a 19-year-old person had also been rescued in the same building. 19-year-old Yalcin Akay was pulled from the debris of a 6-storey building in Ercis town of Van. Akay, who called the police by his cell phone under the debris, was rescued by civil defense teams. Akay was taken to hospital as he was injured in his leg. Civil defense teams found out that there were more people under the collapsed building, and began to exert efforts to rescue people. An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale hit Van's Tabanli village at 1.41 p.m. on Sunday.
