Sagynbek Ushbayev, Golovatskiy village resident:
- The “Tauelsizdik tugyry” monument is the greatest occasion for the residents of our Golovatskiy village. It is very fortunate for us and for our future children and grandchildren to have it.
This building was built as a nursery school during Soviet times then it passed into private ownership in the 90s. The authorities have recently passed the facility to communal property and restored it using almost 50 million tenge. Now, it is considered to be an art school where children get trained in music, dancing, painting and various other arts.
Tatyana Donskih, Zharkent art school instructor:
- There has always been a music school in the city. However, it is located in a fitted building. It is an old school which we all used to go to. But we could never even have dreamt of this.
A sports complex has started working all over again in a remote village called Altyui.
Nurbakhyt Tenizbayev, Olympic Games winner:
- There were no such conditions for the development of sport in villages in the past whereas now great attention is being paid to the younger generation and the utmost support is being shown to village sports. If I could win the bronze medal at the Olympic Games, hopefully other athletes from here will become champions at forthcoming Olympic Games.
