Painter Siamak Azmi spotlights dolls in his latest collection

TEHRAN,Feb.9(MNA) – Iranian painter Siamak Azmi focused on his collection of dolls for creating his latest series, which is currently on display at Tehran’s Seyhun Gallery. “Most of my paintings in the series entitled ‘Toys’ reflect this idea that people are toys or are used as toys in their life, and that is why I have used the image of various dolls in my recent collection,” Azmi told on Saturday. “Toys can also carry wider meanings. I intended to show that we are all toys and, even some individuals have prices and can be sold or purchased for more or less,” he said. He also added that some of the images he has used in the works reflect the image of the toys he had seen during his trips to Italy, and some reflect his personal imagination. The exhibit will be running until Wednesday in the gallery, which can be found at No. 11, 4th Alley, Vozara St.
