Pakistan To Strengthen Cooperation On Counter-Terrorism With Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Pakistan hopes to further strengthen Malaysia's cooperation on counter-terrorism, says Pakistani High Commissioner to Malaysia, Syed Hassan Raza.
He said Pakistan and Malaysia already enjoyed very close cooperation on that issue since Pakistan had become a victim of terrorism for so many years.
"Definitely, Pakistan and Malaysia already having very close cooperation, we have convergence of how to tackle international terrorism.
"Pakistan itself, has become a victim of terrorism for so many years. We lost more than 50,000 people to terrorism," he told Bernama after the 'Kashmir Black Day' event which was held at the Pakistan High Commission here Thursday.
Syed Hassan said both parties in recent months had discussed terrorism issues.
"So, with Malaysia, we have negotiation, consultation, we share views, we exchange views with one another other."
Meanwhile, more than 200 Pakistanis residing in Malaysia, comprising students and professionals were present at the event.
Pakistan observes 'Black Day' on Thursday to express solidarity with its Kashmiri brethren subjected to alleged brutalities in Indian-occupied Kashmir by India's Armed Forces on Oct 27, 1947.
