Palestinian Prime Minister Hails HH the Amir's Reminding of Palestinian Cause

Doha, March 27 (QNA) - HE Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh hailed HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's reminding to the world of the millions of Palestinians who have been suffering from the Israeli occupation and international neglect for more than seven decades, during HH's speech at the opening of the Doha Forum 2022. In a statement to Al-Raya newspaper published Sunday, HE the Palestinian Prime Minister noted, on the sidelines of his participation in the Doha Forum on Saturday, the strong presence of the Palestinian cause on the forum's platform, saying that it is not strange for the State of Qatar, under the leadership and wisdom of HH the Amir, to give top priority to the Palestinian cause at all official and popular levels, and to show firm interest in the cause of Palestinian people in all international forums. HE Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh stressed that HH the Amir reminded everyone of the double standards that the world speaks about when it comes to the Ukrainian crisis and others. He pointed out that His Highness reminded the world that there is a 74-year-old Palestinian issue, in which none of the resolutions of international legitimacy and international law have been applied in order to protect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. HE also stressed that the international law should not be divided, adding that the occupation violates all international laws and norms. Dr. Shtayyeh demanded, as expressed by HH the Amir, that the international law be applied to everyone. HE made clear that consultation and coordination between the two countries are at the highest level, and that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is in constant contact with HH the Amir, noting that he had the honor to meet with His Highness in Doha and listened to HH's viewpoint and advice for the next stage, taking into account what dominates the global political scene in terms of the Ukraine crisis and other issues. HE the Palestinian Prime Minister underlined Qatar's firm and principled stance on supporting the Palestinian cause, which he also affirmed in his meeting in Doha with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, adding that communication continues between the two brotherly countries on the latest developments in the international scene.
