Parliament Affairs Minister congratulates on International Day of Parliamentarism

Manama, June 29 (BNA): Marking the International Day of Parliamentarism, which is observed on June 30, a date on which the Inter-Parliamentary Union was founded in 1889 and was approved by the UN General Assembly in 2018, the Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadhel Al-Buainin extended congratulations to members of the Shura and Representatives Councils. He said the event is an international recognition of the key role played by the parliament in development and modernization. He added that Bahrain’s democratic march, which started from the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has brought about many national achievements. He also praised effective cooperation between the executive branch, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the legislative one, wishing Bahrain further growth and prosperity.
