Parliamentary committee praises SCW’s achievements

Manama, Aug. 21 (BNA): The Woman and Child Affairs Committee at the Council of Representatives has extended sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, on the 19th anniversary of the SCW. The committee lauded the key role played by HRH Princess Sabeeka to enhance the status of Bahraini women, highlighting the landmark achievements they have attained thanks to her constant support. HRH Princess Sabeeka’s support has enabled Bahraini women to reach the highest positions, and contribute to the progress of the nation during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era, the panel said. The parliamentary committee also praised the role played by the SCW to advance Bahraini women through its strategies and programmes, which contributed to improving the status of women in society, and to strengthening Bahrain’s standing globally in the field of women’s support and advancement.
