Parliamentary delegation, European MPs meet

Paris, Oct. 25 (BNA): A parliamentary delegation led by MP Ali Abdullah Al-Aradi, on the sidelines of the 131 European Parliament plenary session being held in the French city of Strasbourg, met with a number of European MPs from the European People's Party, Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe and the Green Party. A number of issues concern the Bahraini parliament were discussed, including discrimination against Arab immigrants and integrating them into the European societies to ensure their rights, chiefly religious, and providing them with educational and equal work opportunities. The delegation reviewed Bahrain's counterterrorism efforts, as well as the impact of Iran's military strategy on the region and its policy of interfering in the internal affairs of states. The delegation gave an overview of Bahrain's parliamentary experience and the successful Royal reforms.
