Part of Holy Quran published in Cyrillic
TEHRAN,July 13(MNA) – The Iranian Embassy in Tajikistan has recently published the 30th joz of Holy Quran in Cyrillic script in Tajikistan.
The Quran is divided into 30 sections each of which is called a joz.
The publication of the book entitled “Quran-Nameh” was coordinated by Majid Asadi, an Iranian student studying philosophy of culture in the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
“Quran-Nameh” contains 14,000 verses written in Cyrillic script.
It also contains the Persian poetic translation of the joz by Iranian poet and translator Omid Majd.
“Quran-Nameh” has been published in 2000 copies, which are offered with a DVD containing the recitation of the 30th joz by famous Egyptian Quran reciter Abdul Basit (1927-1988) along with the poetic Persian translation, which is narrated by Tajik Quran memorizer Esmaeil Pir-Mohammadzadeh.
