Passers-By Shocked by Ghost Mae Nak Selling Roast Pork at Intersection

AYUTTHAYA, April 8 (TNA) -- Passers-by were shocked for seeing well-known Thai female ghost Mae Nak selling sticks of roast pork at Wat Phra Yat intersection in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district but many people became her customers. The pork-selling Mae Nak went viral after her pictures and vedio clips taken by others were posted through social media. Actually she happened to be Ms Nannapat Chalachainant, a former actress aged 23 years old. The woman said she used to be an actress for a traditional shows at a local floating market but it was destroyed by fire in June last year. The fire damaged most of her costumes. So she turned to run a roast pork shop to make ends meet. Using some remaining costumes, she dressed herself to be Mae Nak, one of the most famous ghosts on Thailand, and pretended to hold a baby in accordance with the Mae Nak story while selling sticks of roast pork at the intersection. Ms Nannapat said she sold roast pork there from 6pm every day. (TNA)
