Patriotic upbringing of youth
Astana, April 22, 2009 (Khabar) - Deputies, teachers, representatives of state structures and members of “Zhas Otan” have discussed perspectives of patriotic upbringing of youth. The attendees of the round-table meeting have discussed how to unite nation. Sergey Shankhayev, video operator of educational TV in Karaganda Polytechnic University considers it is not necessary to elaborate any textbooks and manuals. It is necessary just to love our country, its people and job into which one is engaged. Sergey makes video lectures that tell the students about role of the President in development of independent state, about initiatives for improvement of life of every Kazakhstani citizen.
Sergey Shankhayev, technician of Karaganda Polytechnic University:
- First of all patriotism makes people united and everybody must respect his state and be a patriot and respect hymn, national emblem etc. As our President, Nursultan Nazarbayev says, we must consolidate and unite during crisis period.
Kazakhstan works on forming of patriotism but it is necessary to work more to build a strong, competitive state.
Kamal Burkhanov, Majilis deputy of Parliament of RK:
- Patriotism is a weighty reason to be proud of our homeland that advanced first on post-Soviet area and builds a new state and surprises with ambitious large-scaled reforms. That’s why we must bring up patriotism feeling in every citizen and to implement this philosophy and ideology everywhere.
It was decided to increased the number of military and patriotic clubs at schools, Universities and introduce lesson “Modern history of Kazakhstan”, shoot and broadcast more films about life of prominent fellow countrymen who contributed into the development of country. The participants of round-table meeting also have elaborated recommendations on strengthening of Kazakhstani patriotism. And then recommendations will be passed to necessary state bodies.
