People fall sick as temperature drops

BURI RAM, Nov 5 (TNA) - More than 1,000 people, majority of them children and the elderly in Buri Ram are becoming sick daily because of the sudden drop of temperatures. The temperature in the province today dropped to 21 degrees Celsius and it becomes colder and windy at night. Doctors said many children and elderly people are suffering from respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia and they are sent to private clinics and hospitals for treatment. Some 1,000 sick people daily seek treatment at Buri Ram Hospital alone, doctors said, adding that they expected more patients if the weather in the province becomes colder. (TNA)
