People flock into Dusit Zoo before its permanent closure tomorrow
BANGKOK, Sept 29 (TNA) - Huge crowds of families visit the Dusit Zoo in Bangkok to bid farewell to the long-standing and popular tourist attraction before its permanent closure tomorrow.
Visitors have had a grace period to have their last memorable moment at the zoo after its closure was postponed from the end of last month.
There is an arch of flowers with a message reading “Bye-bye 80 years, Dusit Zoo”. The floral arch is a highlight where all visitors want to pose for photos before seeing animals within the zoo compound. Zoo staff insisted that the closure would not be put off again. The zoo was set to open between 8am and 6pm on its last day of service tomorrow.
Earlier the Zoological Park Organization planned to close the Dusit Zoo on Aug 31. As many as 300,000 people arrived there then, so the organization decided to postpone the closure for one month.
All animals at the Dusit Zoo will be moved to six other zoos for temporary captivity. (TNA)
