Photo exhibition of Iranian iftar underway in Ankara

TEHRAN,July 31(MNA) – A collection of photos of Iranian spreads for iftar, the evening meal for breaking the fast during Ramadan, was put on display in an exhibition in Ankara, Turkey on Sunday. The exhibit, which has been organized by Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, is part of an annual festival arranged by the Municipality of Ankara to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, the Culture Ministry announced in press release on Monday. The collection explores Iranian cuisines as well as the traditions practiced during the holy month of Ramadan. It contains 45 photos selected from the Iftar Spreads Photo Exhibit held over the past four years in Iran. In addition, Iran is displaying rare copies of Holy Quran on the sidelines of the exhibit, which runs until August 1. Over 30 countries also introduce their cuisines, traditions, and products used in Ramadan during the festival.
