Astana, January 14, 2010 (Khabar) - To develop economic potential of the country and increase life level of Kazakhstanis. Deputies of lower chamber of the Parliament decided to pay attention to forming of necessary of legislative basis of Customs Union and work in framework of Kazakhstan’s chairing the OSCE.
The agenda of the first in 2010 plenary session includes more than one dozen issues. Members considered the ratification of conventions on nuclear safety and passed a bill on collective forces of rapid reaction. This structure was created at the initiative of the CSTO member countries last year. The main purpose of the agreement that was approved today is joining of efforts of the parties to repel armed attacks, counter emergency, terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking.
Bolat Sembinov, Vice-Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan:
- At the moment we can say that the establishment of collective forces of rapid reaction is absolutely adequate to the military-political situation that is developing in the region. We achieved complete participation in the Collective rapid reaction forces, not only the Defense Ministry, but other security agencies that can solve problems that arise in the region.
