PM Najib And Wife Attend ACD Summit Dinner

BANGKOK, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and wife Rosmah Mansor attended a dinner function on Sunday in conjunction with the Second Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit. The event at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Centre which was hosted by Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, was also attended by other ACD member states' heads of delegation. Prayut will open the summit at the Foreign Ministry tomorrow where he is scheduled to deliver the opening statement. Najib is expected to deliver Malaysia's remarks during the plenary session at the summit, before meeting the Malaysian media. He will leave for home after that. The ACD, comprising 34 member states, is an Asian regional cooperation framework initiated by Thailand in 2002, with Kuwait City hosting the inaugural summit four years ago. --BERNAMA
