PM Najib Arrives Home From Official Visit To Germany

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was on a three-day official visit to Germany since Monday, arrived here safely on Thursday. "Alhamdulillah, safely arrived in Malaysia this afternoon after a working visit to Germany," he said in his Facebook and Twitter postings on Thursday in which he also uploaded a picture of himself disembarking from the aircraft. Najib's official visit to Germany was at the invitation of Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel, a prominent politician in the European Union and was his first visit as Prime Minister since assuming the post in 2009. During the visit, Najib held bilateral talks with Markel as well as XFab chief executive officer Rudi De Winter, BMW Group (Munich) senior vice president (Asia Pacific & South Africa) Hendrik von Kuenheim and Aerodata AG director of Strategic Business Development Dr Manfred Haverland. The Prime Minister also visited the port city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, about 200 kms from Berlin and to Wismar. Najib was accompanied by wife, Rosmah Mansor, International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed, Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Mah Siew Keong and senior government officials. --BERNAMA
