PM opens National Teachers’ Day event

BANGKOK, Jan 16 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha on Saturday said teachers have helped in boosting students’ wisdom and asked them to help in giving helping hands because the future of the country rested in the hands of teachers. Gen Prayut said this while chairing the opening of the annual National Teachers’ Day at the Teachers’ Council of Thailand Auditorium. Gen Prayut also said he acknowledged his superiors as teachers, therefore, learning could be made throughout one’s life. People in the country could reconcile only after they obey the country’s law, otherwise problems will never end, he said, adding that everybody must respect the law and people will have to start from developing the country to prevent social divisiveness from occurring. The Natonal Teachers’ Day falls on January 16th of every year in Thailand to pay tribute to teachers. (TNA)
