Police Intensify Manhunt For Bali Fugitives
By Azeman Ariffin
JAKARTA, June 21 (Bernama) -- Bali police have intensified their manhunt for the four men who escaped from the Kerobokan Prison on Monday.
One of the four fugitives is a Malaysian identified as Tee Kok King, 50, who was to serve seven years and six months for a drug offence.
He was sent to the Kerobokan Prison in September 2016. His last known address in Malaysia was in Malaysia’s southern state Johor.
The other three are Australian Shaun Edward Davidson, 33, Dimitar Nikolov Iliev, 43, a Bulgarian and Indian national Sayed Mohammed Said, 31.
The were found missing from their cells in Block B of the prison during morning roll call on Monday.
Indonesian online media on Tuesday quoted Bandung Residency police chief Yudith Satriya Hananta as saying that they had enlisted divers to enter the tunnel through which the four men are thought to have escaped.
The 60cm by 15-metre tunnel became inundated after a heavy downpour.
He added that police were yet unable to say if the four made it out of the tunnel as it was not only flooded but muddy.
