Police seize 700 kgs of Malaysia-bound crystal meth

SONGKHLA, March 29 (TNA) – Anti-drug police seized a large haul of 700 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, also known as "ice" from a house in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district. The consignment of ice, worth 350 million baht was stored at this house, before it will be sent to the destination in Malaysia. Four suspects – two Thais and two Malaysians were arrested. The operation to search for the drug at the house followed the interception of crystal meth, hidden on a Chiang Mai-registered truck at a checkpoint in Chumphon. According to the investigation, the police learned that another huge lot of drug was transported from the northeastern region to Hat Yai, leading to a raid at the house. All of the narcotics have been sent to Bangkok for the press conference, by senior police officials. (TNA)
