Police station fire in Thailand kills 4 captives

NONTHABURI, July 7 (TNA) - Four captives died of smoke inhalation early Sunday after a fire hit a police station in Sai Noi district of Nonthaburi, near the outskirts of Thailand’s capital Bangkok. Initial evidence found an electric transformer near the cell had exploded and caused the fire, which took nearly an hour to contain, said police. Meanwhile, a separate probe had been commissioned to investigate whether police negligence had resulted in the failure to help free the captives choked in the fire. (TNA)
