Political Affairs Undersecretary offers condolences on demise of former Philippines President

Manama, Aug. 7 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, visited today the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Manama, where he met the Embassy Chargé d' Affaires, Anne Jalando-on Louis, to offer condolences on the demise of the late President Fidel V. Ramos. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah expressed the Kingdom’s condolences to the government and people of the Republic of the Philippines, and recalled with appreciation the contributions of the late president to the service of his country and people. He also highlighted his role in consolidating relations between the two countries in various fields, wishing the Republic of the Philippines continued progress and prosperity.
