Politicking of religious issues abhorred

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, has congratulated on the successful organising of Shaikh Suleiman Al-Madani's conference that reflects the patriotic and religious values of the late Bahraini scholar. HH Shaikh Abdullah's remarks came as he received the chairman of the second edition conference's High Committee in the presence of Supreme Islamic Affairs Council member Shaikh Mansour Ali Hamada. His Highness highlighted the conference topics and the need to address the insertion of religious issues in political disputes for the purpose of private gain. He also praised the research papers and speeches delivered during the conference, lauding the High Organizing Committee for its huge efforts in the successful organizing of this event. His Highness paid tribute to the late Suleiman Al-Maddani, citing his great patriotic and religious services, expressing trust that the community educated by Shaikh Al-Madani will maintain the noble values he advocated, wishing such conferences to continue that commemorate the late scholar and spreading Bahrain's genuine moderate thought. Dr. Mohammed Taher Al-Madani, the head of the committee on behalf of himself and committee members expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Abdullah for his kind gesture of patronizing this conference which was the main success factor for the conference in communicating its message and achieving its objectives. He presented a memorial shield in acknowledgement of His Highness's patronage of this conference as well the support from the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs presided over by HH Shaikh Abdullah. He also commended HH Shaikh Abdullah as a paternal figure and the source of everyone's pride, lauding His Highness's wisdom, tolerance that qualified His Highness to win the respect and love from all, wishing His Highness lasting good health and wellbeing.
