Poll finds ‘Toon’ most outstanding person for 2017

BANGKOK, Dec 2 (TNA) -- Asked any person in Thailand who should be chosen the most outstanding person in the kingdom for 2017 and you are bound to get the answer "Toon Bodyslam." A poll, conducted by the Super Poll on 1,944 people between November 24-December 2, found that 94.6 per cent of the total respondents praises the heartthrob rocker Artiwara Kongmalai, better known as ‘Toon Bodyslam’, now running to collect charity money to assist 11 cash-strapped hospitals in Thailand. "Toon” began his running from Betong district bordering Malaysia on November 1 and plans to end his charity running in the northernmost district of Mae Sai in Chiang Rai, bordering Myanmar on December 25. He is now reaching Ratchaburi province and is expected to arrive in Bangkok next Monday. To date, people have donated about 400 million baht to help the 11 hospitals. He aims to collect at least 700 million baht for those hospitals. According to Noppadol Kannika, managing director of Super Poll research centre, 93 per cent of respondents agreed that ‘Toon’ should be chosen as the most outstanding person for 2017. (TNA)
