Premier: Challenges require more coordination
Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the challenges that are currently facing the region require more coordination at all levels to face them, stressing that political, security and economic consultation among countries of the region has become, now more than ever, a necessity, given their common destiny and shared interests.
"There should be no hesitation in taking a firm stance towards those challenges, as staying on the sidelines is no longer effective in the midst of the region's instable conditions that please no one," he said.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving Royal Family members and senior state officials at the Gudaibiya Palace today.
Reviewing local issues with the audience, HRH the Prime Minister highlighted the deep-rooted values of love and communication that have always distinguished the Bahraini society, noting that those values have, throughout history, stimulated giving and dedication for the sake of elevating the nation, and have been among the main elements that strengthened Bahrain and fortified it in the face of various challenges.
HRH Premier voiced pride in the Bahraini citizens' awareness and sense of responsibility, which, he said, makes Bahrainis immune against division and fragmentation schemes aimed at spreading chaos across the region.
Tackling issues related to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), HRH Premier lauded the development and urban boom currently witnessed by GCC countries, noting that they have become an international investment and tourism destination.
