Premier hails Bahrainis' patriotic stances

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said Bahrain, under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, would push ahead with the march of development and prosperity in the interest of citizens.  HRH the Prime Minister today received a number of senior officials, journalists, businessmen, economists and intellectuals to discuss topics of public affairs.  HRH the Premier recalled the Bahraini people’s patriotic stances under the royal leadership against attempts targeted undermining the homeland’s unity, security and stability. He called for standing up together to face attempts to disseminate hatred and division, as well as countering campaigns to defame the national achievements.  HRH the Premier warned of the danger of the misuse of social media sites and employing them to post false news and facts, welcoming the response of writers, media men and activists to the subject through social networking.  He urged to avoid getting involved in acts could harm the tranquility of the community, consequently distracting the government from concentrating on providing public services.  HRH the Premier said that all attempts to engage the homeland in whirlpools of division and hatred would be confronted by the Bahraini people. He hailed the role of journalists, media men and columnists in addressing public affairs, chiefly national unity and the one-family spirit.  He expressed pride in the Bahraini women’s persistence and their remarkable achievements made in various fields, which are a source of pride to Bahrain.
