Premier, Kuwaiti Amir discuss Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today paid a visit to the Kuwaiti Amir, HH Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, at his residence here, and discussed with him the outstanding brotherly relations, and ways to bolster them in various fields, as well as ways to enhance joint GCC action. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the role played by Shaikh Sabah to consolidate complementarity among GCC and Arab countries, praising his sound visions towards various Arab issues. The Prime Minister affirmed Bahrain's keenness on developing the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, expressing satisfaction at the advanced level of bilateral ties thanks to the distinguished relations between the two countries' leaderships and peoples. HRH Premier lauded the stances of the Kuwaiti leadership and people in support of Bahrain under all circumstances, stressing that those stances are widely appreciated by the Bahraini citizens who, he said, love and respect their brotherly Kuwaiti citizens. The meeting touched upon the agenda of the 37th Summit of the GCC Supreme Council, hosted by the Kingdom. The Kuwaiti Amir and HRH the Prime Minister stressed that the current phase requires more complementarity and coordination among GCC countries in order to be able to deal with the rapidly-unfolding regional and global developments. They expressed hope that the results of the 37th GCC Summit will push joint GCC action forward and meet the aspirations of GCC peoples for unity and solidarity.
