Premier lauds executive, legislative cooperation

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, their Deputies and Head of the Council’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. HRH the Premier lauded the royal directives to ensure regulations of rationalizing public money expenditure is based on consensus between the executive and legislative branches. He also briefed the Representatives and Shura Councils’ Speaker and Chairman on steps taken by the government in light of the royal directive. HRH the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s keenness to further boost cooperation with the legislative branch on the principle of partnership in national decisions. He praised the efforts of the Representatives and Shura Councils and their civilisational handling of various national issues. He also hailed their understanding of the current circumstances and challenges and the need to deal with them on the basis of common responsibility between the executive and legislative branches. The parliamentary delegation thanked HRH the Premier for his keenness to bolster cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, stressing that this relation has become exemplary and comprehensive which represents a milestone in Bahrain’s parliamentary life.
