Premier receives participants in Gulf-Turkish Forum

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa called to set up a GCC-Turkish partnership targeting all economic aspects and permitting to ensure maximum benefit from the active investment climate in both sides as well as strong and deep-rooted relations between them. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today participants in the second Gulf-Turkish Forum which is hosted by Bahrain under the patronage of HRH the Prime Minister. HRH the Prime Minister stressed the successful development experience underwent by both sides which paves the way for an economic development model that helps the GCC countries and Turkey to overcome all challenges posed by the global economy and the state of instability and turmoil witnessed by some countries. He also underlined Bahrain's support to all efforts aimed at boosting regional and international economic cooperation, being the key to development and welfare. HRH the Premier urged to establish large-scale regional and international economic partnerships and to focus efforts on development in order to brave challenges. He emphasized the need to give economic development top priority for, he said, "there is no successful policy without a strong economy". He also warned of the repercussions of being distracted by politics and conflicts, pointing out what is happening in some countries. HRH the Prime Minister underscored the importance of the Gulf-Turkish Forum as a platform to set up joint projects and enhance relations between both sides. He also reviewed with the audience economic and commercial issues and prospects of GCC-Turkish cooperation. He also discussed issues on the forum's agenda, pointing out their importance in promoting cooperation and serving common interests. The participants in the 2nd Gulf-Turkish Forum thanked HRH the Premier for all efforts made by the Bahraini government to ensure success of the forum which reflects the kingdom's keenness to further bolster cooperation at the regional and international level.
