Premier thanks outgoing GPU officials

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa sent a cable of thanks to outgoing Gulf Press Union (GPU) Chairman Turki Al-Sudairi, commending his dedicated efforts during his tenure to enhance professional press performance, consolidate national media pillars and strengthen the commitment of press enterprises. HRH the Premier hailed the strides achieved during Al-Sudairi’s tenure and lauded his dedication and solid cooperation to promote the standard of the fourth estate in the GCC countries, reiterating support to the GPU to continue assuming its crucial role. HRH the Premier sent a similar cable of thanks to outgoing GPU Secretary-General Nasser Mohammed Al-Othman, hailing his dedicated efforts, along with other General-Secretariat staff, during his tenure, which contributed to enhancing the professional development of media enterprises so as they assume their role in total objectivity and probity.
