Preparation for 65th anniversary of Victory

Astana, September 19 2009, Khabar – Six billion tenge will be allocated from the state treasure for actions dedicated to 65th anniversary of Victory. And 300 000 veterans will receive single financial aid the common sum of which us 4,5 billion tenge. Gulshara Abdykalikova, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population has also said all pensions will be increased up to 25% from the next year. This has been said in Astana during republican plenum of Central council of “Organization of veterans of Republic of Kazakhstan” public union. The participants of the meeting have unanimously elected Kairbek Suleimenov as a new chairman of union. He has much experience of working in law enforcement structures, he took the post of Minister of Interior Affairs, commander of interior forces and secretary of Security council. The veterans have declared about the starting of campaign “We are heirs of Victory” and will appeal for people to give their one-day earning to the Fund “Victory”. Money will be spent mainly for treatment of 16 000 participants of Great Patriotic War. It is also planned to solve the problems of 1 500 veterans of war who are in queue to receive flats.

Gulshara Abdykalikova, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of RK:
- We will work with regions and municipal administrations and we must reveal who need flats. Some people received flats for several times and some people live in very critical conditions, that’s why we must work on it and define who really needs dwelling. The budget-2010 supposes allocating of about 6 billion tenge for assisting veterans. The veterans of war, rear and people equated to them will receive single allowances.
