President visits new wholesale center and hotel in Astana

Astana, October 27, 2009 (Khabar) - The first wholesale trade center in Central Asia, which pertains to the famous international METRO Cash & Carry chain has opened in Astana. Nursultan Nazarbayev has paid a visit to it.
The first shop of this trade mark opened in Germany in 1964. Over 45 years the METRO chain has spread all around the world from Egypt to Japan. More than 600 of such centers are operating today.
There are 25 thousand different products in this shop. 90% of them are supplied by Kazakhstani companies. The quality of goods and their packing corresponds to the European requirements.

- You will be supplying Astana city residents with the freshest products and they will be healthier thanks to that. They will also be grateful for the fact that our restaurants will have the tastiest food. And not only capital residents but all the guests will be visiting them as well. I would like to thank the company’s executive group and builders for commissioning this great facility in due time. My congratulations on its opening, I wish you every success and happiness.
