Princess Bajrakitiyabha appointed new Thai Ambassador to Austria

BANGKOK, September 4 (TNA) - Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha has been appointed the new Thai Ambassador to Austria, effective from October 1, 2012, replacing Somsak Suriyawongse who has been shifted to become the new top Thai envoy to France. The Thai Cabinet made the decision, as proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at its weekly meeting in Bangkok on Wednesday. The Thai Cabinet also approved the transfer of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, who has been a provincial attorney general of the Office of the Attorney General under the Ministry of Justice, as a senior Thai Ministry of Foreign Affair official. However, the Cabinet announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, who has also been the chairperson of the 21st Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and Alternate Permanent Representative of Thailand to the International Organisations in Vienna, will be in the existing position until her term ends in December 2012. The Thai Princess has been praised for successfully and efficiently carrying out duties at her present position. (TNA)
