Princess donates mobile clinic to be deployed in far South

BANGKOK, Sept 10 (TNA) -- Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn donated a mobile healthcare clinic to the government that plans to use it for people in southern border provinces. The mobile clinic was named "Sirivejjayan" meaning an auspicious medical service vehicle. The princess also had the vehicle bear the abbreviation of her name. Deputy Prime Minister/Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon ceremonially received the mobile clinic. Gen Prawit supervises solutions to problems in southern border provinces. "Sirivejjayan" is the country’s first mobile health care clinic intended to bring medical services to people with disabilities in southern border provinces. It is equipped with modern medical instruments and manned with health personnel trained to rehabilitate the life of ill people. “To respond to the intention of Her Royal Highness the Princess, the Defence Ministry will send the "Sirivejjayan" vehicle to serve people in remote areas who have difficulties in seeking public services. It will also serve bed-ridden people and those with multiple disabilities. The great care for people from Her Royal Highness the Princess will bring happiness and peaceful co-existence to people in southern border provinces,” Gen Prawit said. (TNA)
