Princess Sabeeka congratulates Shaikha Fatima on ITU award

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), has sent a cable of congratulations to the Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union, on being granted the Personal Leadership Award 2016 by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for achieving gender equality in the field of telecommunication and information technology on a par with the global level. HRH Princess Sabeeka hailed the efforts of Shaikha Fatima to support women's presence in various sectors in the UAE and ensure equal opportunities for them, in light of the support accorded to them by the UAE political will, under the leadership of President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
