Printing machine explodes, three injured

BANGKOK, September 13 (TNA) - A printing machine of the Office of the Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Educational Personnel (OTEP) in Bangkok's Lat Phrao area exploded Thursday afternoon, injuring three people and causing some damage to the offiical printing house. Police from the Choke Chai Police Station rushed to inspect the scene, where they found broken glass windows and other materials. The police said the printing house, whose workers were all evacuated, has now been cordoned off for public safety; while all the three injured have been treated at a nearby hospital. It was the first explosion at the OTEP's printing house under the Thai Ministry of Education, where text books for nationwide primary and secondary students are published. According to the police, an official investigation into the cause of the blast has been continuing. (TNA)
