Privy Council president to return home next week after lung operation

BANGKOK, September 5 (TNA) - Privy Council President and Statesman Prem Tinasulanonda is recovering from a lung operation and is expected to return to his home by next Monday, an aide-de-camp to the Privy Council president said Thursday. Major General Pitsanu Puttavong, the aide-de-camp to the Privy Council president, said that General Prem is almost completely recovered from the operation. He is now able to walk and eat. The Privy Council president undergone a health checkup at Phramongkutklao Hospita in Bangkok on August 19 and doctors found a swelling in his upper right lung and he underwent a surgery on August 29 to heal the inflamed wound.
