Prize-distribution ceremony set for September

Manama: July 27 (BNA): A ceremony will be held in September to honour the winners of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work. Registration for the fifth edition of the prize opened officially by the end of last June, attracting a large number of participants who want to vie for the 2019 prize. Individuals, voluntary work associations and the expatriate communities living in Bahrain are showing a big interest in participating, said HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work Organising Committee Secretary-General Yacoub Bouhazaa. He paid tribute to Bahrain Basketball Association Chairman and Honorary President of the Good Word Society HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa for his keenness on supporting different voluntary work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In a statement today, he said that the organising committee had received entries in the economic, social and health fields on its electronic website. Good Word Society board member and Award Marketing and Media Committee chairperson Samia Hussein stressed the importance of the prize which reflects keenness on keeping abreast of global developments in the field of voluntary work. She commended the expatriate communities living in the Kingdom of Bahrain for their keenness on participating in the second edition of the voluntary work award, reflecting Bahrain’s drive to embrace all community through peaceful co-existence and the values that long marked the Bahraini society all along its history.
