Public Security chief hails Stevie Award 2019 honour

Manama, Aug.17 (BNA): Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan asserted on Saturday that the winning of Maan “together” programme against violence and addiction of the international Stevie Award 2019 in two categories: Personality of the Year and Administrative Team was a result of the directives of the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He expressed appreciation of the winning of Bahrain Ambassador to the US, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalifa of the award’s Personality of the Year category. He was involved in the implementation of the early stages of the programme. He congratulated the Interior Minister of this national and international achievement as part of a development strategy that is based on tackling all challenges. He said that this shows the capability of the Interior Ministry to go ahead with its security and social services with the highest level of readiness and competency. The Chief also congratulated the Capital Governor and Head of Maan Committee, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and those involved in the project and the winners of the administrative team category. He said that Maan was an ambitious project that succeeded within a limited period of achieving many milestones by limiting negative behaviours among youth to prevent crimes.
