Public Security Chief meets heads of police directorates

Manama, Dec.31 (BNA): Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan met virtually Heads of Police Stations of the security directorates in the governorates. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief of Public Security Major-General Abdullah Al Zayed. The Chief conveyed the greetings of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, highlighting the significant role of the affiliates of the police directorates in protecting security and stability. He valued the distinguished role of police personnel in implementing precautionary measures against COVID-19. He highlighted the dedication of the Interior Ministry in enhancing the competency of its personnel according to the latest international standards to carry their tasks with competency and professionalism. He asserted the important role of police stations in promoting community partnership, through coordinating and interacting with citizens and residents and learn about their needs and suggestions to provide the best security programmes. He directed for further hard work in serving the nation by following the public security principles for the swift response, activeness, transparency and accentuality. The meeting reviewed training programmes to enhance the police performance, in which the Chief hailed the online scientific and training programmes and courses of the Royal Academy of Police. He highlighted the dedication of the Public Security Presidency to develop training to meet the development requirements of Bahrain and promote creativity.
