Public Security chief receives US delegation

Manama, Feb.19 (BNA): Chief of Public Security Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan received a US delegation from the US Senate and House of representatives. He welcomed the guests, highlighting the importance of such visits and meetings in reinforcing ties between the two friendly countries. The Chief briefed the US officials on the Interior Ministry efforts to promote security and safety. He also highlighted the directives of the Interior Minister to protect security and stability through training, hi-tech equipment and experiences of developed countries. The Chief highlighted the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain and the continuation of security efforts to protect citizens and residents. The two sides discussed security cooperation and coordination, reinforcement of bilateral ties and topics of common interest.
